Book sniffers, assemble!

The bestselling Connections: A Collection of Short Stories is now available to buy in good old-fashioned paperback format, priced at £9.99 on Amazon. Yep, that’s still less than a cocktail in London.

In case you’ve been living under a rock (or just generally hiding away from the world in favour of binging Netflix and munching popcorn in your pyjamas - and I don’t blame you) - let me tell you about it.

Its freshly printed pages are filled with over 20 delightful short stories from a mixture of amateur and professional UK authors. I’ll eat my hat if you can tell me which is which.

I had a lot of fun writing my first ever published short story, The Man Upstairs, which features in the book. It tells the story of a lonely, bitter woman who is isolated from society. Overwhelmed by feelings of grief and regret, and struggling with her mental health, she begins to confuse the past with her reality. Cheery, eh?

Well, actually - it is just a tiny bit! There are moments of dark humour to lighten the mood, which I’m so happy to see readers noticing and enjoying in their reviews. I can’t help but write that way.

Psychological thrillers not your thing? That’s cool. There are plenty of gorgeous, hopeful tales of escapism in there too! Samantha Latimer’s forest story is a personal favourite of mine. So descriptive and luscious.

There really is something for everyone in Connections. Happy reading!
